Casual Day at White Rock

Honestly, I am currently experiencing the awkward wardrobe crisis of that pre-fall-weather-outfit-yet holding-on-to-end-of-summer kind of vibe.
It's chilly enough to wear a lightweight sweater with a denim jacket draped over shoulders(I NEVER do the fashion blogger jacket draped over shoulder thing, just let me have it this time), yet I'm still not ready to give up on those lace up open-toe sandals.

Sunny Day in Steveston

Steveston is a small town/historic fishing village in Richmond, British Columbia. It is a must visit if you're ever in B.C! In Steveston, you will find a lovely deck full of little restaurants, bars, gelaterias.. you can enjoy a lot of tasty food options anywhere from seafood, BBQ, to Italian cuisines.
This time, I've taken a stroll down the other side, where there are lots of little boutiques and antique shops.

Gracias Glacier!

The last day in Banff National Park was literally a field trip to me. Learned so much from the mother nature and of course, I was stunned. It was very interesting how I had this "nerdy" outfit for that day which is a perfect student look for class - Banff 101.

Hues of Blues

One thing I do when I dress myself is that I try not to go for just one specific style. For example, with this lace top, instead of wearing a high-waisted skirt and heels and making it so feminine and bubbly, I picked a rich teal colour tapered trousers to go with it. Along with my favourite Zara sandals that I STILL wish they could bring them back(dream on..J).

Ooh La Jacquemus!

Let me just start off by confessing that I did wear a wool skirt on a fairly warm day.

Granville Island

Granville island, which is one of my favorite spots in Vancouver. The nature, the art and the food make me enjoy my visits every time even I'm a local. I'm extra happy this time because I went with my love, J:

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn 2.0

If you ask me what are some clothing items that I feel most comfortable in- my answer would be: anything denim and a good boyfriend button-down shirt. Preferably with stripes. Both of which are timeless pieces and I promise you, I've worn this shirt with everything in my wardrobe. And yes, it works! This time, I decided to wear it with my new addition- the distressed dungarees.
Vancouver weather has been very warm lately, to combat the hot sun, I wore an awesome combo of a wide brimmed hat that I got recently and could not stop wearing-- and sunglasses :)

Balloon Dogs

I enjoy putting an outfit together. Whether it's for myself or for someone else, it's such a fun and rewarding thing to do because one can have his/her personality shine through the outfits they're wearing. Personally, if you're seeking for an instant pick-me-up, incorporate something you love/fun/makes you smile into your outfit. Ostwald Helgason is a London based label founded by Susanne Ostwald and Ingvar Helgason. I have been a fan when I first saw their collection from 2013 F/W. Their designs are a combination of opulent patterns and wearable silhouettes; quirky and unexpected. This pair of jacquard shorts by Ostwald Helgason is one of those pieces that puts a smile on my face. It's got balloon poodles all over! They remind me of Jeff Koons balloon dogs. So cute, right?

Urban Gypsy

Living in a city like Vancouver calls for an acknowledgement that the weather can be temperamental. A great hat and scarf, to me, are necessities in one's wardrobe. A hat is also my weapon of choice when it comes to covering the fact that I had the "2nd day hair" as well as grown out roots. Or rather, just throw it on with any outfit and it instantly-- I mean instantly make the whole look extra stylish!

I have issues. One of them is that I LOVE and have the need to put some of my favourite things into one look. I am still digging this Athena Procopiou fringed scarf that I got last summer. I am no expert in wearing a scarf 84234890 different ways but I can ace it in those two ways as shown below. This scarf not only, in my opinion, tie the whole look along with the hat, it also makes a simple, neutral outfit a lot more interesting.
