Ooh La Jacquemus!

Let me just start off by confessing that I did wear a wool skirt on a fairly warm day.

Well, it's hard not to, when the skirt is cute.. Or even better, when it is a Jacquemus skirt!

Simon Porte Jacquemus launched the label Jacquemus in 2009 after his mother passed away(Jacquemus is his mother's maiden name)when he was only 19. His designs are so fun and quirky, to me they are kind of like childrenswear for adults. This skirt puts a huge smile on my face; it is unique and definitely funky. When I wear it I feel like a child all over again! It's so unapologetic and that's why I love it. I usually wear such a piece with a simple crop tee, or a button down shirt tucked in- with white oxfords to prep-it-up :P

Gotta get a close-up shot of this amazing pocket. I love the how the bright orange pops against navy blue as well as the sewn on pocket in checkered pattern and smooth wool texture.

If you tend to carry a big bag wherever you go, you know the pain of digging and trying to find items in the abyss.

I am a strong believer that fashion should not be taken too seriously. It's supposed to be fun and empowering. You can be whoever you want to be by expressing yourself with your sense of style and a kick-ass outfit! So..when people ask me why? I ask them, why not? :)
