My Picks To Get J.Lo Ready

I don't know about you, but I love a glowy, dewy look all year round. Here are my top picks from Tom FordCharlotte Tilbury, and Cle de Peau that I think are especially great for summertime. Who doesn't want a J.Lo glow? Below are my favourite products to achieve a beautiful sun-kissed skin.

1. Tom Ford Bronzing Powder in Gold Dust

Okay, I know $95USD is a lot to spend on a bronzer that you probably will only use in the summer. But this bronzer contains 21grams of product! It is at least double or even triple of a normal bronzer you'd see in stores. I would most definitely not use this for contouring my face because it has a peachy undertone; however, it is so beautiful when you use it for a wash of sun-kissed glow! I use a big powder brush and sweep it diagonally(I like to start from the apples of my cheeks outwards towards the highest parts of the cheekbones); sometimes I use the leftover powder on the brush and sweep across the bridge of my nose for a 'just-been-in-the-sun' look. This is the shimmery bronzer in the 2 bronzers that Tom Ford offers. The other one, Terra, also very popular-has the matte finish that many people prefer(and I heard that one is better for contouring). I love everything shimmery so I knew I needed to bring Gold Dust home with me:) This bronzer will last me a long time, because a little goes a long way! So make sure you tap off the excess powder before applying to the face! And lastly, I think we can all appreciate a large mirror :)

2. Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow
I admit I am a sucker for beautiful packaging. All Charlotte Tilbury products are packaged beautifully, with a vintage touch and rose gold colour. This highlight and contour/bronzer is one that I use every single day. The bronzer is great for contouring because the colour is more neutral toned rather than orange. It contains shimmer but it's not going to make you look like a disco ball once you put on the skin(the highlight, however, is another story. I'll get to that in a second). What I like about this is that it's completely fool proof. It is not messy at all and you can build it up to your liking. The highlight, is a beautiful champagne gold shade. It will not accentuate your pores if you use it the right way & place. Always remember to tap off the excess like any powder makeup! I apply the highlight shade on the 'C's on the outer corners of the eyes, the highest points of cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and lightly across my forehead and a little bit on the cupids bow-- You know the drill. Combined with the sculpt shade, this product is a perfect one stop shop and you can easily bring it with you because it's very thin. Oh, forgot to mention, I actually use this palette for my everyday eye makeup look as well! It is so versatile. My favourite way of applying is using Charlotte Tilbury's Powder & Sculpt brush. The denseness of the brush and how it is very tapered at the end gives me great precision while applying.

3. Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow
This is another versatile product that I LOVE from Charlotte Tilbury. It is a gel-cream texture primer that you can use it multiple different ways. Even though it is a primer, it's not the type to control oil and what not. It is a primer to improve your complexion.. You can use it underneath your foundation, mixed with, and over for highlighting purposes. In the summertime, I mix this with my foundation, 1)to save time and 2)it gives a skin-like, lit-from-within glow. And the foundation doesn't feel as heavy! It has a very pleasant light rose scent, and does not leave your face feeling tacky-- This is so important for me especially during summer.

This is a beautiful highlighting powder from CdP. I Have the #13 Sand Beige, which is in a golden beige shade. The powder is super finely milled and it does not accentuate the pores. I especially love to use this on top of my Tom Ford bronzer, across my forehead and down the bridge of my nose. It just gives a very subtle, soft, blurred look. Yet it enhances the bronzer at the same time. I also use it by itself on the days when I don't feel like using a bronzer but still want a light wash of golden glow. I apply this with the brush it comes with. I have to say, a lot of brushes that come with compacts are not the best quality and I usually opt it for my own tools. But this brush that comes with the powder is so soft and high quality, the size and shape is perfect for the purpose.

Do you have a favourite summer product for a glowy skin? Let me know your recommendations too! I would love to try them out :D
